Tuesday, February 25, 2025 – Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has accused vocal blogger-turned-politician Robert Alai of being an agent for the National Intelligence Service (NIS).
Speaking during an interview with KTN yesterday, Gachagua
lambasted Alai - the Kileleshwa Ward MCA - for attempting to blame former
President Uhuru Kenyatta for Raila Odinga’s AUC defeat.
“After the AUC elections, I noticed a man working for the
National Intelligence Service - an MCA in Nairobi named Robert Alai - who wrote
a long post attributing Raila’s AUC loss to Uhuru,” Gachagua said.
“I want to tell ODM supporters to leave Uhuru Kenyatta
alone.”
Previously a vocal critic of President Ruto’s administration,
Alai has recently emerged as one of its staunch defenders.
This sudden shift in his political stance lends further
credence to Gachagua’s allegations.
