 – In-form Bafana Bafana hitman Evidence Makgopa says the win over Morocco is behind them and he is setting his sights on killing Cape Verde

The Bafana and Orland Pirates hitman was on target against Morocco in their 2-0 on Tuesday and he says he wants to improve in killing Cape Verde.

Bafana are through to the quarter-finals of the Afcon tournament that is held in Ivory Coast and Makgopa now plotting and help to kill the Islanders.

Speaking ahead of the match scheduled to get underway on Saturday, Makgopa says he is setting his sights on killing Verde.

Bafana, under the guidance of Belgian mentor Hugo Broos, will face off against Cape Verde at Charles Konan Banny Stadium at 22:00 (SA time).

The next Bafana opponent is ranked 73rd by Fifa and nicknamed the Blue Sharks, Cape Verde have had a good run at Afcon and Bafana hitman – Makgopa is now setting his sights on killing their opponents.

“We just have to keep our heads down and focus on the next one, forget about the previous one. I think that’s going to help us,” Bafana hitman Makgopa said about killing Cape Verde.

“I have to improve from the previous one but at the same time focus on the next and forget what happened in the previous results.

“I think the most important thing is to focus on the new chapter that we have opened and the most important thing is to go out there and grind the results.”

The lanky hitman, Makgopa’s club teammate and midfielder Thabang monare echoed the same sentiments as they aim to kill their counterparts.

“It’s a very tough team. I think the more we progress, the harder it will get. We’ve watched their games. They are a team that is willing to work very hard,” Bafana midfielder added about facing Cape Verde.

“If you are playing against that kind of a team, you need to be on your A-game, they really want to work hard and we have to beat that.”

Meanwhile, Bafana will bank on their fine displays as they only conceded two goals versus Mali and have been solid at the back, they thumped Namibia 4-0 and played a draw against Tunisia.
