Sunday, October 11, 2026 -Prime Video has unveiled the first official poster for Blade Runner 2099, putting Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh and Euphoria star Hunter Schafer at the centre of one of the year's most anticipated science-fiction releases. The promotional artwork arrived alongside a new trailer presented at New York Comic Con on October 10, giving fans a closer look at the futuristic series.
Set in Los Angeles 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, the new instalment promises a fresh mystery, intense action and a darker exploration of the relationship between humans and artificial beings. The eight-episode series is scheduled to premiere globally on November 25, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video.
Schafer plays Cora, a fugitive who assumes a new identity as a Blade Runner in a desperate attempt to escape her past. She is forced to work alongside Olwen, a replicant nearing the end of her life, played by Yeoh. Together, they pursue a runaway whose secrets threaten to destabilise their fragile world.
The cast also includes Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, Tom Burke and Matthew Needham. Showrunner Silka Luisa leads the project, while Jonathan van Tulleken directs the opening episodes, bringing a new creative team to the franchise's visually distinctive science-fiction universe.
The first poster and trailer are expected to intensify interest among longtime fans and viewers discovering the franchise for the first time. With Yeoh bringing her acclaimed screen presence and martial arts experience to the role, and Schafer taking on a demanding new action character, the series aims to combine spectacle with questions about identity, survival and what it means to be human.
Its November premiere will reveal whether this new chapter can expand the Blade Runner universe while retaining the philosophical tension that defines the franchise. For now, the newly released promotional material has put Blade Runner 2099 firmly on the entertainment radar.
