Saturday, September 19, 2026 - Pete Davidson has opened up about how becoming a father has completely changed his priorities.
The comedian and actor, who welcomed daughter Scottie Rose in December 2025, said fatherhood has made him view work and other pressures differently. He now considers how much time a project will take him away from his daughter before deciding whether it is worth accepting.
Davidson said becoming a dad has also changed the way he approaches everyday decisions and made him more protective.
He described having his daughter as the best thing that has happened to him, explaining that responsibilities that once seemed extremely important now feel less significant compared with being present for his child. He has also said fatherhood has strengthened his determination to remain sober and be there for Scottie as she grows.
The new perspective is also influencing Davidson’s career as he continues taking on major acting projects. Rather than focusing only on professional opportunities, he says he now weighs where a production will film, how long he will be away and whether the time apart from his daughter is worthwhile.
For Davidson, fatherhood has brought a sharper sense of responsibility and a new reason to make choices with his family firmly in mind.
