Saturday, September 5, 2026 - Liam and Noel Gallagher have skipped the press conference for their new Oasis documentary at the Venice Film Festival, despite making an appearance at the festival for the film’s premiere.
The brothers arrived by boat and took part in photographs before avoiding the media event, once again keeping their public interaction limited as attention builds around their long-awaited Oasis reunion.
Their absence has not dampened enthusiasm from the filmmakers behind Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger. Directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace have expressed strong confidence in the finished documentary, which captures the band’s 2025 reunion tour and includes previously unseen rehearsal footage as well as the brothers’ first joint interviews in more than 25 years.
The film aims to show the emotional impact of Oasis’ return while giving fans an intimate look behind the scenes.
The documentary’s Venice premiere comes at a major moment for Oasis, with fan interest still high following the reunion tour. The film is scheduled to reach cinemas in September before its later streaming release, giving millions of fans another chance to experience the comeback.
Despite Liam and Noel choosing to stay away from the press conference, the filmmakers’ confidence and the enormous interest surrounding the film suggest Oasis remains one of music’s biggest stories.
