Prince WILLIAM tells TRAVIS KELCE the biggest ‘culture shock’ for British fans in US for World Cup

Friday, June 3, 2026- Prince William has revealed what he believes will surprise British football fans the most when they travel to the United States for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking on Travis and Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast, the Prince of Wales said the enormous size of American sports stadiums will be the biggest culture shock for visiting supporters. While Travis jokingly suggested it might be the lighter American beer, William laughed before insisting that the scale of the venues would leave the strongest impression.

The prince said British fans are used to passionate football atmospheres but expect many to be amazed by the capacity and size of stadiums across the United States.

He also joked about the difference in beer culture before reminding the hosts that the sport is called "football," not "soccer," adding another light-hearted moment to the conversation. The interview highlighted growing excitement ahead of the tournament, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Prince William's appearance on the popular podcast quickly attracted attention from football and NFL fans alike, with many praising the relaxed conversation ahead of the World Cup. As anticipation continues to build for the global tournament, his comments have added to the excitement surrounding what is expected to be one of the biggest sporting events ever held in North America.
